Wellness is not about perfection or forcing yourself to do things that are "known" to be good for you. It is about finding out what supports your ability to thrive in life. It is a process of self-discovery, following what feels good and right. Wellness differs from many health and fitness approaches because it's not about being told what you must do. Your wellness is likely nothing like anyone else. You are YOU, unique and special.
The most common wellness topics are regeneration and recovery, sleep, movement and exercise, nutrition, mental and emotional well-being. Often a combination of balancing and incorporating those topics into our everyday life is the challenge.
In my approach, just like my nutrition consultation program, I do not offer a magic potion, and I will not tell you what is right or wrong. I will, however, guide, support, and lift you while together as a team, we will explore and set goals to achieve the ideal YOU.
weight neutral approach is about supporting the well-being of individuals and groups. Regardless of the desired weight change, practicing healthy nutritional behaviors will spiral to positive overall well-being.
Nutrition is about aroma, appearance, texture, and taste. culture, tradition, social, as well as therapeutic. Your eating plan is a powerful tool to managing life the healthy way. Figuring out what to eat can feel like a hassle. It doesn't have to, there are ways to add flavor to your daily routine.
Nutrition is not about looking perfect in the eye of our surroundings. We all have different body types, inheritances, genes, and habits. You will not do yourself justice by forcing yourself to look like the "Jones" or fill anyone's expectation without taking into consideration the above list. Learning to balance your life and incorporating healthy habits, will support your long-term healthy nutrition.
